Jackie Hunt

Jackie Hunt is a Red River Métis executive leader bringing more than 15 years of senior leadership experience across the nonprofit, public, and Indigenous sectors. Known for her strategic vision and commitment to community impact, Jackie has led transformative initiatives with organizations such as Volunteer Manitoba and End Homelessness Winnipeg.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Jackie spent 15 years owning and operating a successful training and development consulting firm specializing in leadership, communication and conflict resolution, governance, and emotional intelligence. Her work has guided leaders and teams across sectors to build stronger relationships, navigate complex challenges, and drive meaningful change.
Jackie is also the co-founder of The Kindred Project, a charitable initiative which was dedicated to restoring dignity by ensuring women+ had access to essential period product - a mission grounded in compassion, equity, and the belief that basic needs should never be a barrier to well-being.
A dedicated community advocate, Jackie has served both locally and nationally. She is a former mayor and councillor for the RM of Ritchot and has contributed her governance expertise to numerous boards, including Volunteer Canada and the Canadian Housing & Renewal Corporation, where she served as Chair of the Indigenous Caucus. Jackie currently serves on the Grace Hospital Foundation board.
