Elisabeth Saftiuk
Vice-Chair
Elisabeth Saftiuk is the Vice President of Policy and Government Relations at the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, where she works collaboratively with the President and CEO to advance strategic priorities that reflect the evolving needs of Manitoba’s business community.
Her work focuses on economic competitiveness, labour force development, energy, and trade policy, with a particular emphasis on reducing interprovincial trade barriers to strengthen Manitoba’s internal market. She also champions issues affecting women in business, ensuring policy decisions consider their impacts and fostering greater engagement of women across the Manitoba Chambers network. In addition, Elisabeth leads work on childcare policy, recognizing its importance to building a more inclusive and resilient provincial economy.
A Registered Professional Planner, Elisabeth brings a strong background in urban planning and downtown revitalization. She previously served as Executive Director of the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation and as a land use planner in both the Interlake and southeast Manitoba. She has also served as Vice-Chair of the Capital Planning Region and as Acting Chair of the Manitoba Municipal Board.
Elisabeth currently sits on the Board of Directors of CentreVenture Development Corporation and WeMB. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of City Planning from the University of Manitoba.
